CULTURAL KITCHEN

CULTURAL KITCHEN

CONFIDENCE - CROSS CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING - CONNECTION - COMMUNITY

Our Cultural Kitchen programme works with Refugee & Asylum seeker women based in the city of Swansea and we are loving the opportunity to learn about food from a diverse range of cultures.. Each week a different participant leads the session cooking food inspired by her cultural heritage and passion for cooking. This programme focuses on supporting women to facilitate a session, building confidence and practical skills in coordinating groups in the kitchen.

Cultural Kitchen is also an opportunity to develop cross cultural understanding through food & connection; working together preparing a meal creates an environment where we can get to know one another, finding commonalities through the food we eat. One of the most exciting outcomes is always how many cross-overs there are between cultures and countries.
